More introductory information about each course

The courses cover the critical aspects of the topic in an interesting and interactive manner. You are not overburdened with excessive theory - you get practical, relevant knowledge and skills that you can immediately apply - hence the business essentials theme.

These public courses are drawn from a wide range of training programs offered by Derek Stockley. As an alternative to a public course, programs can be provided through an On-demand Service or In-house Training.

1. Presentation Skills

This Presentation/Public Speaking Skills course is for one day. This program is specifically designed for busy people where effective speaking and/or presentations are essential for success.

After covering the major aspects of public speaking and presentations, participants undertake practice sessions focused on their particular training need.

This training program in presentation and public speaking skills is outlined at: Public Speaking/Presentation Skills Course - Melbourne.

3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills Public Course

Do you want to achieve more through others?

Do you have a staff member that could interact better with colleagues and customers?

This Communication and Interpersonal Skills Course - Melbourne or Communication and Interpersonal Skills Course - Sydney is about improving communication and interpersonal skills. The key essentials are covered in this practical, intensive one day program.

Participants return to the workplace better able to work with and communicate with others.

See: Communication and Interpersonal Skills Course Information and Outline - Melbourne or Sydney NSW for details, including course dates and fees.

5. Train the Trainer Program

Many people need to pass on their knowledge and skills to others. If you know the techniques, your training is simple and effective.

This public program is conducted on two days, with approximately seven days between each day, see: Train the Trainer - Melbourne or Train the Trainer - Sydney for details, including course dates and fees.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

For those people requiring formal training qualifications, Derek mentors participants in an online Certificate 1V in Training and Assessment.

2. Time Management (Personal Productivity) Course

This public program provides guidance and assistance in the effective management of time, the most important of all personal resources.

The Time Management Course helps participants to identify their personal time management issues. They then develop an action plan based on the techniques and strategies covered during the training. If implemented, personal productivity can increase dramatically. Although primarily aimed at workplace productivity, the course also provides personal benefits as well.

See: Time Management Course - Melbourne for details, including course dates and fees.

4. Leadership and management

8. Searching for a public course and not having much success?

Have you just started your search or have you been searching without success for a while?

If these course descriptions are close to your requirements, but you have a different or additional need, see the explanation of the EssentialsPLUS process at Course Alternatives. Many trainers claim to provide needs based training, but Derek Stockley was the first to offer it as part of a public course program. No other training organisation offers individually designed, needs based training that complements or adds to a training course open and advertised to the general public. This is not 'add on' customisation - the total training need is identified and the public course is integrated into the training provided. If you think there is a similar offering elsewhere, please contact Derek Stockley.

Please see EssentialsPLUS explanation for some tips and a practical alternative, or go direct to On-demand Service Explanation if you have a unique training need.
